Employers for Working Families Awards Finalist

Just announced today, Routes to Work South have been nominated as a finalist for the Family Friendly Working Scotland award for our family friendly and flexible approach to staff working. Over the last few years we have continued to develop a strategy to support staff in achieving a healthy work life balance.

Recognising that the standard 9 to 5 hours, Monday to Friday may not suit everyone in the organisation we have offered staff the opportunity to restructure their working week to better support their life outside of work. This has been taken up by many of our staff and has had a positive impact on the workplace.

Many other initiatives have been introduced to the organisation including a scheme to purchase extra annual leave, a healthcare support initiative, offering the living wage for all positions and involvement in schemes to help staff purchase IT and fitness equipment.

Success for us is high employee morale, motivation, customer excellence, innovation and enthusiasm.

We are currently also working towards being an accredited Living Wage employer and gaining a Working Lives Bronze award. So, no resting on our laurels.

We are very proud to be nominated for this award and take a great deal of pleasure in the ethos our organisation has worked to promote over the last 10 years which is shared by so many other leading employers.
